In addition to traditional Sunday Morning RE programming, there are a number of related activities sponsored by OUUC:
Earth Scouts
New to OUUC in 2007-08, Earth Scouts is a growing scouting program that provides children opportunities to grow in knowledge and experience, emphasizing values of diversity, the wonder of nature, service and leadership, interdependence and cooperation, and peace. Our group takes on a new topic each month, including evening meetings to introduce the topic and outside activities where they put what they learn into action.

Family Fun Nights
About once a month, families gather for fun at OUUC. One month it may be just movies and popcorn, another may be board games, another maybe a scary Halloween Party. Whatever it is, it’s sure to be fun!
2nd Sunday 2nd Service Family Activities
Once a month, families are invited to hang together after first service and informally gather somewhere for fun, recreation, fellowship, or service. For example, a recent outing was a trip to observe Salmon spawning at Kennedy Creek. Each month’s outing or activity is sponsored by a different church committee such as Social Justice, music, Green Sanctuary. Maybe even Adult RE? Bet the kids could teach them a thing or two. This is a great way to engage the whole family in the entire ministry of the church, build relationships and expand our sense of community.
